Feb 01 2003: Rykel Limited achieves ISO 9001 (2000)
The Standard
We are pleased to announce that Rykel Limited, including Dieline, has just earned the new update to
this essential quality standard. Formally certified to ISO 9002:1994, our Quality Audit Team
have worked hard to ensure that our Quality System complies with the new requirements of ISO 9001:2000
in all areas of our business, including the manufacture and assembly of mechanical and electrical
components, machining and cable loom manufacture.
Customer Focus
This achievement affects our customers because there are two main differences between the two standards.
The first is that it is more customer focussed, expecting us to have good communications with our
customers and to measure and monitor their satisfaction. This is extremely useful to us as if we
are doing something well it is nice to know, but if there is anything you feel we need to improve
on then we need to be told about it in order to enhance your experience working with Dieline.
Therefore we are undertaking a customer satisfaction survey and using customer relationship techniques
to maximise the success of our partnerships.
Continuous Improvement
The second difference is the emphasis on continuous improvements of our processes and quality system,
partly based on the feedback that we are given by our customers. This also information from our
quality analysis tools such as Statistical Process Control. All in all, we aim to optimise the
quality of service we offer and believe that ISO 9001:2000 will help us to work towards this whilst
proving our intention.
